Empowering dogs and their carers to make smart choices

Are you finding the puppy journey overwhelming?

Good intentions, but routines out the window?

Struggling to know what training to focus on right now?

Is your puppy nipping at you and you find it challenging to help him/her understand you don’t like it?

Are you or your kids concerned by your puppy’s high energy?

You and your dog’s journey starts here.

These are all perfectly normal, valid emotions and experiences when we welcome a young dog into our home for the very first time. As well as trying to continue with our own daily routines, we have the additional pressure to teach, train, feed, walk, play, socialise… that checklist can fee insurmountable and frightening. It’s a lot of pressure from the get go!

As your local, certified, force-free trainer, it’s my job to take you reassuringly through the puppy stage, being by your side the entire way. I work in your environment, at your pace and with your priorities in mind.

My tailored six-week puppy programme helps dogs and their carers build confidence, understand their puppy’s individual needs and provide professional, tailored support to raise their puppy or adolescent dog with solid life skills.

The Puppy Programme

This package consists of SIX sessions and is best suited to a puppy that has just been brought home to live with you and still finding their paws in their new human environment. I identify what the dog needs support with right away, from routines to establish (if appropriate) and suggesting any modifications to their environment. I also cover basic life skills like recall and engagement, toilet training, socialisation and loose lead walking. Along with your commitment, I heavily support your training journey to make coaching your puppy an ongoing fun, enjoyable and rewarding experience.

Family Coaching

This bespoke package is sold in blocks of THREE sessions and is for those who either have a puppy living with them already but feel they need support to: establish boundaries, routines and expectations, bond with their puppy/adolescent dog, help child(ren) overcome any fears towards the dog, equipment advice etc.

Addressing Specific Issues

I offer support on a range of common issues such as loose lead walking, toilet training, barking, aggression-related behaviours and more. I have found that to effectively support a client and their dog during a time like this, a minimum of three sessions is required. If we are able to resolve the issue in question in less than three sessions, I do permit clients to defer remaining sessions for a period of 12 months.

“Sandra has made a huge difference to Teddy our cavapoo’s training. We would highly recommend Sandra’s training sessions.”
